2025:
The First Adventure

The Story

Long ago, Veladoon the Blackblade cast his reign over Sonoma Con City, corrupting it with dark power and ambition. The skies swirled with unyielding darkness, trees lay bare, and crops produced little for survival… but somehow, life in Sonoma Con City continued.

Hope seemed lost until a band of adventurers arrived in Sonoma Con City, drawn to the city’s famed Hero’s Guild, where they met the ancient cat spirit known as The Elder.

She spoke of a path to salvation. She said Veladoon’s immortality could be undone if his scattered Soul Shards were found and destroyed. The shards were lost to myth for decades, though their terrible, corruptive power was well known. Where many had tried and failed to recover them… these heroes succeeded.

When the adventurers returned to the Heroes’ Guild, all eight soul shards secured, the air split open with a blazing portal. Veladoon’s voice echoed through the hall, offering a warning and a choice. He claimed The Elder was deceiving them - that she sought the shards’ power for herself. If they returned the shards to him, he vowed to leave Sonoma Con City forever and take his tyranny to another land.

The adventurers then hear haunting whispers - the shards are calling for them. They realize they can take the corrupted power for themselves.

77% of Players Chose To:

Give the shards to the Elder, and trust that she will destroy them, weakening Veladoon and binding him to mortality.

16% of Players Chose To:

Absorb the shards yourself, seizing ultimate power and immortality, but surrendering yourself forevermore to boundless corruption and evil.

7% of Players Chose To:

Give the shards to Veladoon by placing them into the portal, granting him control of his own will so he leaves Sonoma Con City - but allowing him to bring tyranny elsewhere.
